READY FOR SOME AWESOME GEAR?

Classic Grand Auditorium Tone

Taylor's 800 series of acoustic guitars are traditionally known for their stunning rosewood bodies, sweet tone, and superb playability. But for the builders at Taylor, that simply wasn't good enough. After going back to the drawing board, they revealed this limited edition 814ce Cocobolo LTD. This acoustic-electric has the same Grand Auditorium body shape as the 814ce, but replaces rosewood back and sides with cocobolo. When it's time to plug in and perform, you'll appreciate the vibrant tone and expressive response of the ES2 electronics system. From the moment you pick it up, the Taylor 814ce Cocobolo LTD will enchant your hands and ears alike.

Cutting-edge Taylor Expression System 2 electronics

If you play plugged in, then you're going to love the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics built into your 814ce Cocobolo LTD. The key to this fantastic system is the 3-section proprietary pickup located behind the saddle. Because of where it's positioned and how it's integrated into the guitar's saddle, the ES2 pickup provides you with remarkably clear and accurate sound. In addition to a master volume control, a pair of tone controls lets you tweak your highs and lows to get the sound you need, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression.

V-Class bracing balances the top

Like most high-end Taylor's the sitka spruce top is equipped with Taylor's V-Class bracing system. Unlike traditional X-shaped bracing, the V-shaped bracing provides the perfect blend of stiffness and flexibility to give your guitar more sustain and volume. To the trained ear, V-Class bracing subtly enhances intonation to let you play perfectly in tune all the way up the neck. V-Class bracing opens up the tone, exposing detailed sonic textures in ways you wouldn't think are possible.

Taylor: constantly innovating

Throughout the history of guitar building, some brands have been more innovative than others. The same brand introduced both the dreadnought body and x-shaped bracing, while another created archtops and the first hollowbody electrics. Since Taylor's inception in 1974, the brand has been on the cutting edge of acoustic innovation. By introducing glue-free neck joints, innovative pickup designs, and unique bracing techniques, Taylor has departed from time-honored tradition and created an entirely new breed of acoustic guitar.
